JAMMU, June 13: Former Minister and JKPCC working president, Raman Bhalla today said that people are confronting with innumerous problems while the administration has virtually failed to resolve the same.
Bhalla made these remarks while interacting with a deputation of Resident Welfare Committee of Sector-A, Sainik Colony Jammu led by Shamsher Singh, Maj Gen (Retd), Keshav Singh Jamwal, Padam Dev Singh, Satish Kumar Sharma, Mahesh Chander Sharma and others.
The deputation demanded widening and blacktopping of two main roads of Sector A from Hari Singh Chowk to Shiv Mandir near Railway Track along with side lanes, cleanness of Sector-A. They pointed out that there is no proper sanitation arrangements of Sector-A. They demanded construction of catch water Nallah from house No. 58 B i.e. from Babber Chowk Road/Ist Bridge to Vented causeway near House No. 172 Sec -A, about 1100 mts in length, besides improvements of all the three parks of Sector-A, repair of lights of Park No. 2 opposite house of Kamal Saini (Retd IGP), improvement of Park No. 3 near Tube well by filling good earth and installation of lights, construction of lane and drain back side of Sheel Devi Eye Care Hospital 6, replacement of water supply pipe line.
They also demanded construction of deep drain from Park No.3 via the house of BL Saini to Sainik Colony Khud, construction of deep drain on the sides of main road to bridge No.3 of Sector A, construction of Lane and drain from House No 40-Extn to 112 Extn (back side of Dr Kaushalya Sambyal’s house. They also demanded installation of new street lights, construction of deep drain from Shiv Mandir to Sainik Colony Khud, repair of existing damaged drains and lanes.
Bhalla assured the delegation that demands put forth by them will be projected before concerned authorities for the mitigation of the same at the earliest. He said that there is strong resentment among people of Jammu region towards BJP which has miserably failed to address even basic issues of the people of the area.
He pointed out that there was total chaos and confusion among people as BJP leadership has failed to remove peoples’ apprehensions. “On the one hand, there is complete uncertainty in J&K, while on the other hand people are confronting with failure of the administration to solve day today problems”, he said, adding that most parts of the city are facing scarcity of potable water and power.
