BJP to undertake cleanliness of water bodies: Rekha

JAMMU, Sept 23: Informing that the party will undertake cleanliness drive of water bodies in connection with “Sewa aur Samarpan” campaign programmes, J&K secretary of BJP , Rekha Mahajan, today said that every Morcha should contribute in making the programme successful.
Rekha Mahajan was addressing the review meeting of Akhnoor district BJP team ,Mandal and Morcha presidents, besides incharges of “Sewa aur Samarpan” campaign programmes in the district .
Meeting was organised under the presidentship of district president, Jagdish Bhagat.
Rekha Mahajan, also Prabhari of the district, said that BJP Seh- Prabhari, Ashish Sood, along with other senior leaders, will lead the party activists to undertake cleanliness of River Chenab, where in, Jio Pota Ghat will be cleaned as a message to the public to maintain hygiene and Swachhta at and around such places, which are visited frequently by the people in connection with social or religious rituals.
Rekha further said that in series of programmes, the BJP will also organise other events like felicitation of traditional craftsmen, weavers etc and also promote khadi products as a part of self reliant India on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti .
District president, Jagdish Bhagat assured to undertake every programme from district to Mandal and booth levels.
Rekha also visited Sub District Hospital, Akhnoor and took round of vaccination centre, interacted with the people and enquired about the status of daily vaccination. She also visited exhibition on life and achievements of PM Narendra Modi at Kameshvar temple Akhnoor and appreciated the efforts of BJYM to reach the people with the programmes of the party.
The meeting was attended by Captain (retd) Shobha Ram, Surinder Singh, Sharda Bhau, Rita Verma, Bhushan Bral, Rajat Sharma, Sushma Sharma, Nisha Bhagat, Nitish Sharma, Rattan Sharma and others.
