JAMMU, Aug 12: in connection with celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav BJP took out Tiranga rallies across the UT today.
Former Minister and State vice president, BJP, Sham Lal Sharma today said that Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will invoke sense of patriotism among the countrymen especially the coming generation thus making it imperative to ensure success of the same.
He was addressing a mammoth gathering before the start of Tiranga rally at Misriwalla near Jammu.
District president, Rajinder Singh Chib , DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bushan Bodhi, former Minister, Bali Bhagat, BDC Chairman, Marh Surinder Kumar (convenor, Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan),Ex MLA Shiv Dev Singh, State president, Kissan Morcha, Omi Khajuria and several leaders of BJP and large number of people joined the rally which commenced from the Misriwalla and after passing through Purkhoo, Domana, Roop Nagar successfully culminated at Ban Talab.
Sham Lal said that such endeavours are a must for making people realize their duty and responsibility towards the Maa Bharti. He said that the huge turnout speaks well about the enthusiasm of the people towards country and the fellow countrymen. He said that enemies of the country must see the sea of people to gauge their standing because every single citizen is ready to live and die for the country making it amply clear that denting India’s interests is impossible.
He urged the people to unfurl Tricolour at their rooftops and business establishments between August 13 and August 15 to show solidarity towards the country. He said that the greatness of India is its unity in diversity and the National Flag is the symbol of this unity.
DDC Chairman Jammu, Bharat Bushan Bodhi said that the Modi Government has taken magnificent steps to reinvigorate nationalism among the people as such events supply currents in the minds and bodies of countrymen thus making them more charged towards their duty to show allegiance for the nation because this is necessary to kindle the feeling of oneness towards the countrymen and devotion for the nation.
Bali Bhagat, former Minister, said that celebration of 75th year of independence as Azadi Ka Amritmahotsav is something which will go a long way in bringing people close to each other and sprout nationalism among one and all. The people in large numbers raised slogans in favour of Maa Bharti and unity in the country.
Renewing his appeal of hoisting the Tricolour on every rooftop as part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Senior BJP leader, Devender Singh Rana today said the drive across the country will reinvigorate the spirit of patriotism among the people, who are celebrating the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
“Tiranga is our pride, our lifeline”, Devender Rana said while joining the enthusiastic rally, bubbling with the fervor of patriotism, in the Dansal area of Nagrota Assembly Constituency.
Rana said, duty has cast upon every Indian to contribute towards the nation in terms of strengthening unity and amity, working for environmental protection and social welfare, supporting its holistic development and supplementing the efforts of making the nation the world leader. The die has been cast to make India as the Vishwaguru due to the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, he said, hoping that the people will be the willing partners in scripting this growth story.
The senior BJP leader lauded the fervor and enthusiasm among the people across Jammu and Kashmir in taking Tiranga to every home, saying this will indeed be a great tribute to innumerable freedom fighters, who enabled every Indian, irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion to breathe in free environs by breaking the shackles from the Britishers.
As a part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to mark the celebration of 75 years of Independence, BJP Jammu East Assembly constituency under the leadership of Yudhvir Sethi, vice president, of the party took out a massive Tiranga bike rally here, today.
The Tiranga rally started from Tali Morh and passing through Sarwal, Amphalla, Karan Nagar, Panjtirthi, Chowk Chabutra, Jain Bazaar, Link Road, Purani Mandi, City Chowk, Kanak Mandi, Rajinder Bazaar, Shaheedi Chowk, Residency Road, Swami Vivekananda Chowk, Dogra Chowk, Jewel Chowk and Canal Road culminated at the Bhagwati Nagar ground.
In this bike rally, senior leaders of BJP comprising of councilor, Pramod Kapahi, Dinesh Gupta, Dr. Akshay Kumar, Sunit Raina, Anil Masoom and Nidhi Magotra, all councilors, Jammu district general secretary and East constituency in-charge, Kuldeep Kandhari and senior best leaders of Jammu district, Mandal presidents, Ward coordinators, Shakti Kendra Pramukhs, booth presidents and common citizens participated in large numbers.
Addressing the gathering, Yudhvir Sethi said this campaign is part of the celebrations of the glorious 75th Independence Day of India under the programme Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav launched by the Modi Government. He said that people in Jammu and Kashmir should come out and hoist Tirangas atop their houses to show solidarity with fellow countrymen.
Sethi said that such initiatives are of great value as these imbibe the spirit of nationalism among the people and connect them with the roots through the route of patriotism. He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir not to take this campaign lightly because this is the most significant one as this will show the strength of the country to foes and friends across the world and therefore no citizen should remain lethargic towards this most vital programme of modern India.
The senior BJP leader said being the foot soldiers of the party it becomes our duty to leave no stone unturned in making this campaign a grand success.
Chairperson of J&K Waqf Board and National Executive Member BJP, Dr Darkshan Andrabi led Tiranga yatra at Budgam today. She was accompanied by party leader, Ali Mohammed Mir, district leaders and activists of party.
Amid sloganeering in honour of the National Flag and the nations glory, the rally was attended by people from all groups who travelled through Budgam town and distributed Tri Colours to the local population also.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Dr Darakshan Andrabi said that it was a moment of honour for every citizen to be able to unfurl the National Flag during Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
