BJP stands for social equality: Raina

JAMMU, July 4; Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president, Ravinder Raina said that the party stands for justice to all and promoting social equality in the country.
Addressing one day State Working Committee meeting of BJP Anusuchiti Jaati Morcha at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu,
he said that Narendra Modi Government during five years of first term, initiated a number of steps and launched welfare schemes for the socio-economic upliftment of the Scheduled Castes across the country. “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” was the sole objective of the Government at the Centre, which ensured taking altogether in matters of development and welfare. The Congress and other parties, which used to mislead the SCs and treated them as vote bank, failed in their designs in 2019 general election as the people of this community shifted their loyalty towards BJP after realizing that their welfare was only possible if Narendra Modi Government was repeated at the Centre, he added.
Former Minister & ex-State president of Anusuchit Jaati Morcha, Dr. Davinder Manyal, who read out the minutes of the last meeting, said that three and half years of BJP coalition in the State was always concerned for the welfare of Dalits and it advocated timely disbursement of scholarships, widow pensions, old age pension etc.
Anusuchit Jaati Morcha State president, Jagdish Bhagat, detailed about the Morcha activities during the last six months in the State and discussed the forthcoming ‘membership drive’. He said that the Morcha has set a target of one lakh and every activist has to reach the SC hamlets and enrol the people of the community as BJP members.
The Morcha also felicitated former ministers, ex-MLAs, Sarpanches, Panches of the community.
They were presented mementos as token of respect.
It also adopted a resolution demanding implementation of 10% reservations for SC as announced by the PM Modi in promotion; implementation of social economic survey; allotment of land for houses for houseless members of SC community; compensation for allottees for land acquired for Ring Road; extending of jurisdiction of SC Commission to J&K.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by Morcha State general secretary, Dharminder Kumar.
BJP general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, party spokesperson Balbir Ram Rattan, Jaidev Rajwal, Bharat Bhushan, N.D. Rajwal, Dr. Krishen Lal Bhagat, Neelam Langeh, Prof. Gharu Ram, Jeet Angral and others were present on the occasion.
