JAMMU, Nov 21: Secretary BJP Jammu and Kashmir, Rekha Mahajan has said that Jammu and Kashmir should witness similar development like other parts of the country is the desire of PM, Narendra Modi .
“Previous regimes in Jammu and Kashmir have always thought about their families and relatives and left the people in lurch at large .It is the Modi Government which took initiative to strengthen grass root democratic institutions in J&K”, said Rekha Mahajan in a statement issued here, today.
She said that even after 70 years of independence previous government’s deprived people of real democracy. Conducting BDC elections earlier and now DDC elections which are now being held for the first time is a major step in the history of J&K. The funds which had been coming to Jammu and Kashmir for development have been looted by these dynastic leaders .Not even half of those funds would have been utilized for the development in the erstwhile State. These parties always betrayed the people of J&K, she added.
BJP stands for strong India, one India, one nation, Sab Ka Saath Sab ka Vikas Sab ka Vishwas,Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, dealing Pak sponsored Jihadi terrorism and China’s expansionism with iron hands, etc.
She asserted that BJP wanted common people to participate in the political process. “When there is people’s participation in the political process, that will ensure proper development, prosperity and progress of people as a whole”, she added.
She said BJP always stood for betterment and welfare of common masses and believed in empowerment of people at grass root level.
