JAMMU, July 4: Bharatiya Janta party (BJP) and social organisations today remembered Swami Vivekananda and paid glowing tributes on his death anniversary.
Various programmes were organized to remember the contribution of Swami Vivekananda by political and social activists of the Party in their respective areas.
Paying tributes to super monk of the present times, BJP president Ravinder Raina said that Swami Vivekananda conquered the entire world with his teachings and messages.”I bow to Swami Vivekananda on his Nirvan Diwas. His thoughts and ideals remain an inspiration for everyone devoted to serving our nation”, he said.
BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul remembering the life and struggles and teachings of Swami Vivekananda said that every Indian must comply with his teachings and follow a routine in the life for achieving heights. He said that PM Modi was following his footsteps and our nation would emerge as a world power in coming times.
JMC Councillor, Sanjay Kumar Baru in presence of J&K BJP Media in-charge Dr Pardeep Mahotra paid tributes to the Swami Vivekananda by organising a program at Ward No. 41.
Swami Vivekanand was also remembered in another programme organized by J&K BJP additional publicity secretary and District in-charge RS Pura Ayodhya Gupta in presence of in-charge Ladli Beti Veena Gupta and many others in Jammu.
BJP District Jammu led by Vinay Gupta along with District general secretary, Ankush Gupta, Narender Koki, Bharat Bhushan Sharma and others paid glowing tributes to Swami Vivekananda by organising a programme at Gandhi Nagar whereas BJP Mahila Morcha also paid tributes to Swami Vivekananda under the leadership of Sanjita Dogra at Party Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with Sangam Tru Art Production paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda on his death anniversary by organising a special musical concert on the theme “National Integration Communal Harmony” at Open Air Theatre Durga Bhawan, Janipur.
The song was written by ML Dogra, chairman of the BLSKS, whereas the program was inaugurated by VK Magotra, former Regional Directorate of Field and Publicity, GoI and Dr Anju Kumari Dogra, Directorate of Health J&K.
