BJP provided justice to people suffering for 70 years: Bali Bhagat

JAMMU, Nov 24: Former Minister and senior BJP leader, Bali Bhagat today said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have faced 70 years of discrimination over one or other issues under successive regimes and BJP led Central Government has done justice with the people of the UT.
Lambasting at Kasmir based political parties and in particular Congress, Bhagat said that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed only terrorism from last more than 30 years and Jammu region has faced discrimination and remained underdeveloped due to successive Kashmir centric leaderships. He said that BJP is the only party which has so far done justice with the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Senior BJP leader said that former Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, helped the land grabbers under the shadow of Roshni Act to regularise land and issued ownership rights to them. Bhagat said that ST community was struggling for the reservation in J&K Legislative Assembly for last 70 years and was deprived of the same by the successive governments but the BJP Government at the Centre has fulfilled their long pending demand. However, the same rights were not possible for the ST community due to Article 370 and 35 (A) and after abrogation of special status they were given their rights.

Bhagat stated this during an election meeting of BJP workers in support of Nasreen Akhter, party candidate from Dansal constituency held near Ban Toll Plaza Nagrota.
Senior BJP leader Nand Kishore Sharma, district Rural Jammu secretary, Ved Parkash Sharma, Mandal presidents, Shamsher Singh and Ajay Sharma, BJP candidate, Nasreen Akhter, Rajinder Singh, Varinder Sharma, Baldev Sharma, Pankaj Sharma and other Sarpanchs were also present.
