DODA, Apr 23: Taking a tough posture on terrorism and stone pelting in Kashmir valley, BJP State Executive in its political resolution adopted here, today strongly condemned the promotion of competitive separatism by Kashmir-centric leaders and warned that this will not be tolerated at any cost and no body will be allowed to play with integrity of the nation.
Meanwhile, addressing the State Executive Committee meeting, Union Minister and Lok Sabha MP from Udhampur-Kathua-Doda constituency, Dr Jitendra Singh asked his partymen to go to the people and highlight the enormous development works and projects brought in by the Modi Government in Jammu and Kashmir and also place before the masses a comparative detail of what all did not happen in last 60 years and which has been made possible to happen in just three years of BJP rule.
The two days State Executive meet, which started yesterday, concluded today with adoption of the political resolution which resolved with one voice that the competitive separatism promotion by Kashmir centric leaders and playing with integrity of nation can’t be tolerated.
The BJP which is coalition partner of the PDP in the State also resolved against the misuse of youth of Kashmir by some political parties for their vested interests and recommended that the situation be handled strongly. The State Executive also appealed the intelligentsia and civil society of the State to play constructive role in restoring peace and taking the State on the path of development.
The resolution was moved by Arun Gupta, spokesman of the Party and it was seconded by MoS  Education, Tourism and Culture Priya Sethi while former BJP State president Ashok Khajuria spoke on it.
In his address Dr Jitendra Singh said, it is an irony that the Jammu based leaders, who have been for years dancing to the tune of their Kashmir – centric masters, are now suddenly questioning the contribution of BJP when they have been thrown out of power. “What has been their contribution to the development of Jammu when they were in power, both in the State as well as Centre for decades together”, he asked?
Enumerating the Modi Government’s long list of projects brought to Jammu in just three years, Dr Jitendra Singh referred to IIT, AIIMS and IIM for Jammu, approval of Engineering college for Kathua and approval of Medical Colleges for Kathua and Doda, inter-State Keediyan-Gadyal bridge in Lakhanpur, North India’s first Bio-tech park at Gati near Kathua, Passport Centre at Udhampur and approval for Katra-Delhi Expressway and Basholi-Doda Chandragalla tunnel.
Dr Jitendra Singh asked the BJP activists to raise the question as to why the Devika river cleaning in Udhampur was not taken up all the years and only the Modi Government has now sanctioned Rs.170.5 crore for it. He asked, why Radio Station was not set up in Udhampur even though the demand was there for last 50 years but only last month the construction work was started on it.
Accusing the Jammu based leaders of non-BJP parties of having sabotaged several important projects just to please their masters, Dr Jitendra Singh asked, “why Shahpur Kandi project was held up since 1970s and only got revived on the intervention of Modi Government”?
Taking a dig at those who accuse BJP of having promoted “polarisation” in name of religion, Dr Jitendra Singh retorted, “BJP has brought polarisation in name of “Vikas” (development) wherein people from all religions and castes voted for it in all the recently held elections”. He also accused the opposition leaders for being hand in glove in settling foreign Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu for electoral considerations.
He said Union Government is very liberal in granting record funds for development in J&K and expressed grave concern over the accidents on Doda-Kishtwar road. He assured the partymen that he will approach Union Roads and Transport Ministry for better road connectivity in the area.
In his presidential address, BJP State chief, Sat Sharma said that youth constituted 65 percent of the population and their services should be utilized for achieving the desired results in different fields, particularly in highlighting the people friendly programmes and schemes of Modi Government.
The BJP president appealed the party workers to work with more dedication and come to the expectations of the people.
In his address, Party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul while detailing about the two days tour of national president of BJP Amit Shah who is visiting the State on April 29 and 30, announced that the  next Working Committee meeting will be held on July 30 in Rajouri.
Koul announced that a new Community Hall will be constructed at Bhaderwah on the name of Daya Krishan Kotwal- the native place of the former BJP president and it will be totally supported by Dr Jitendra Singh.
The vote of thanks was proposed by MLA Doda Shakti Parihar while the meting was attended by State office bearers, ministers, party legislators, district presidents, Morcha State presidents, Cells and Morcha incharges.
