BJP playing communal card to grab power: Singh

JAMMU, Apr 12: Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) vice president Hari Singh cautioned the people about the communal and divisive forces in the State. He said that people should understand the designs of those forces who are bent upon weakening secular fabric, unity and integrity of the country especially J&K where the enemies are always waiting for the opportunity to disturb the peace and communal harmony of the State.
Singh was speaking in a meeting at Batote today. He said that BJP is leaving no stone unturned to grab power by playing communal card in order to prevail upon common and poor masses through exploitive means in the country, but Congress is determined to give befitting reply to those forces and will never allow them to grab power at the centre.
He said Ghulam Nabi Azad has done tremendous work for the welfare of the people of the State as well as of the country. His efficiency in the governance as well as in the organization is praise-worthy and appealed to the people to caste their valuable vote in his favour and elect him their representative in the Lok Sabha.
Among others who spoke were Bharat Gandhi, Ex-MLA, president DCC Ramban, Chuni Lal Goswami, Janak Singh, Vijay Kumar Gupta, Govind Ram Sharma, Pritam Singh, Mohammad Arif Salaria, Mohammad Iqbal Mir, Kapil Sharma, Nazir Ahmed Mir, Babar Malik and Shahrukh Bhatti.
