BJP-PDP Govt fails to uphold development rhythm: Bhalla

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Mar 29: Former minister and  PCC vice president, Raman Bhalla today said that BJP- PDP have failed to uphold development rhythm maintained by the previous Congress-NC regime in the State.
While interacting with people of Gandhi Nagar constituency here today, Bhalla said, “PDP and BJP are creating hype and plunging the State into uncalled for controversies over issues which are no way connected either with governance or the much touted development.”
It is surprising to note that the Government is shying away from its own commitments made to the people with regard to development, employment generation and other sectors.  Most of the announcements about start ups, entrepreneurship and employment in the budget have been though welcomed by one and all but concern has been expressed that plethora of measures spelled out in previous two budgets are yet to be implemented, Bhalla added.
He said nothing is being done so that the huge job market that lies in between Government sector and self-employment can be tapped. There is not a single effort to fill the gap between the labour shortage and unemployment in the State.
Expressing serious concern over the presence of militants in Sunderbani area, Bhalla said that there is an urgent need to activate the skills of all the intelligence agencies to avoid threat to the safety and security of people besides disturbing the lives in peaceful areas.
Castigating PDP-BJP coalition for weakening traditional amity in the State,  Bhalla said that the three years rule of BJP was a grimy tale of failures and betrayals with none of its elected representatives raking up the promised issues of Jammu region. He regretted that BJP leaders were still describing the Agenda of Alliance as sacred and visionary despite it showing total disregard for the concerns of Jammu region. He deplored that not a single slogan or election promise of BJP had been incorporated in the said agenda and still the said agenda was ‘sacrosanct’ for the BJP.
