JAMMU, Jan 5: The two-day National Executive meeting of BJP will begin in the Union capital tomorrow to deliberate over the party’s strategy in Assembly elections in five states and review the progress on demonetization.
The meeting will be chaired by BJP national president, Amit Shah in which the Party will frame a strategy to be adopted during the elections in five states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttrakhand, Goa and Manipur which are going to polls from next month, party sources told Excelsior.
Sources said, besides the election strategy the NE meet will review the outcome of the demonetization and seek the feedback from the party delegates from states all over India attending the meeting.
From J&K State president of BJP, Sat Sharma and general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul left for New Delhi today to participate in the meeting.
The other BJP leaders from the State attending the meeting included Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh, Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh, Party MP from Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat Jugal Kishore Sharma, former president and MLC Ashok Khajuria and senior Party leader and MP from Ladakh Thupstan Chewang.
