JAMMU, Mar 28: BJP J&K has decided to donate one month salary and pension by party MPs, former MLAs and MLCs into Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to meet out the Corona crisis.
This was disclosed by Party J&K president, Ravinder Raina at party headquarters along with BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul and former Deputy CM, Kavinder Gupta while talking to selected media persons here, today. Raina said MPs will donate one month salary and former MLAs and MLCs will donate one month pension to the Prime Minister Relief Fund to aid relief procedures during the time of Corona Pandemic.
Raina, said that whole world is passing through very rough phase and India too is in state of war with deadly COVID -19 (Corona) Virus. He asserted that residents of Jammu & Kashmir are also on frontline to combat with situation due to Coronavirus lockdown. He said that on call of BJP national president, J P Nadda, J&K BJP has issued helpline numbers to the general masses and every J&K resident especially migratory labour who is in any kind of need can contact on these numbers. Every possible measure will be taken by party to help those in need at this hour of crisis. Raina, said that BJP has further decided that all party MPs which included two Lok Sabha MPs and one Rajya Sabha MP will donate their one month salary to the Prime Minister Relief Fund. All the former MLAs and former MLCs of party will also donate their one month pension into the Prime Minister Relief Fund to tide over Corona Crisis.
He said that the Centre has announced Rs 170000 Crore and presently it is the collective responsibility of all of us too to support the relief operations on the call of PM Modi. He said that the whole nation is today standing alongside the strong measures and relief operations being taken by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi to combat the grave situation. Raina, said that while all BJP activists are already involved in various relief measures distributing ration, food packets, tea, medicines and providing other type of services to those in need, party decided to contribute further by donating one month of salary by MPs and one month of pension by former MLAs and MLCs which amounts to nearly Rs 25 lakh. Raina, further, appealed to the masses to help the daily bread earners, migratory laborers and everybody who is in need of any type of relief. Every capable person must come forward to help the needy in this hour, which will be the greatest humanitarian gesture, he added.
