BJP made false promise with border villagers: PCC

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 4 :  The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) has said that the BJP’s promise to provide 5 marla plots  to the residents of border area in safer zones has come out to be another election ‘Jumla’  as the Govt has ruled out the possibility of providing alternate accommodation to them.
Reacting to the reply of the Govt in the State Legislature wherein the Govt has ruled out  the providing of 5 marlas plot to the residents of border area in the safer zone, chief spokesperson PCC  Ravinder Sharma said that it shows that BJP hoodwinked and made false promises during the elections to seek vote from people of border area.  He said that BJP in its election manifesto had clearly promised to allot  5 marlas  plot to border residents in safe zone but now it clear that all the slogans were just election ‘Jumlas’ to win election.
He said that BJP and all its legislators has further exposed, when they did not  support the demand for withdrawal of tax for use of helicopter service for the  pilgrimage of Machail Mata, Shri Amarnath Yatra and Mata Vaishno Devi ji in the  Legislature Assembly. This is for the first time that this kind of tax was imposed by a Government in which BJP claims to be equal partner.
The BJP representatives in Cabinet and in Legislature failed to get the tax rolled  back and did not support the demand in the Assembly in this regard. This is an eye opener for the people who were exploited on various slogans by the BJP and its leadership, the PCC leader said.
