BJP lets down people of J&K on all fronts: Wani, Bhalla

JAMMU, Oct 3: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC), president Vikar Rasool Wani and working president, Raman Bhalla have alleged that BJP has let down the people of Jammu and Kashmir on all fronts.
They were convened a meeting at Party office Saheedi Chowk Jammu to discuss current political scenario in J&K and organizational affairs.
Speaking on the occasion, Wani slammed BJP for putting J&K’s interests and development subservient to the pleasure of their vested interests.”They have created a unique situation, which shows their convergence in sticking to power but demonstrates divergence to the extent of jingoism when it comes to inciting passions on core issues”, he said.
The lack of cohesion and vision has made people of J&K suffer on account of development. He made a particular mention of the BJP and dared its leadership to list their achievements with regard to fulfilling the developmental needs of J&K people. “Despite being in power at the Centre and in the State the party failed miserably on governance front and let down J&K on all fronts”, he said, adding that the BJP has nothing to showcase as its achievement, least to fulfilling liberal promises during elections.
Bhalla in his address said that while the insensitive BJP Govt failed in assuaging urges and aspirations of the people on political front, its record in governance was quite dismal. “The J&K was virtually witnessing mis-governance with Government nowhere to be seen on ground”, he said, adding that if all there was any visibility of Govt anywhere in J&K, it was for all the wrong reasons of exploiting people and inciting them to fight each other.
He blamed BJP for exploiting people by playing with their emotions on good governance drama staged by them. He said that Congress Party stands guarantee to the equitable development of all the regions and the people. It will continue to serve the people to the best of its ability.
“Apart from developmental and administrative inertia, the present anti-people dispensation is credited of sowing seeds of discord and perpetrating polarization by bringing regions and communities eyeball to eyeball situation as per sinister political strategy”, Bhalla said.
