SRINAGAR, May 16: The BJP led Government in centre is fully responsible for ignoring the identity and culture of J&K.
This was stated by the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah while addressing a party workers meeting held here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Farooq said that in order to face these serious challenges, every resident of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh has to play their role thoughtfully in the current parliamentary elections and the upcoming assembly elections in September.
“The National Conference has faced the toughest challenges in the past like a rock and is standing firm against the current trials as well,” he said and added that by the grace of Allah and the immense cooperation of the people, the people have given their full confidence to the National Conference in Srinagar seat and the party has also received immense support from the people in the North Kashmir and Anantnag Rajouri seats.
He further appealed the party workers to stay in close contact with the people and to work for the success of the party candidates in the current elections.
During the meeting, GM Mir along with his supporters joined the National Conference.
The function was organized by party leader Amit Kaul while Minority Cell convener Jagdish Singh Azad was also present on the occasion.
