BJP leaders, Guru Ravidass Sabha throw light on teachings of great saint

JAMMU, Feb 8: The SC Morcha of J&K BJP here today paid rich tribute to Guru Ravidass Ji during a function to mark the culmination of week-long ‘Ravidass Jayanti Saptah’.
J&K BJP president and Rajya Sabha Member, Sat Sharma; Punjab BJP vice-president and Incharge for Guru Ravidass Jayanti Programmes for J&K, Haryana, Chandigarh and Karnataka, Rajesh Bagga; BJP vice-president and DDC Chairperson, Bharat Bhushan; BJP general secretaries—Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan along with BJP SC Morcha president, Dharminder Kumar threw light on the teachings of the great saint.
These leaders highlighted that policies of PM Modi-led Union Government have played a transformative role in promoting social equality and empowerment as per the saint’s timeless message of love.
Earlier, BJP spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan highlighted Sant Guru Ravidass Ji’s message of secularism, universal brotherhood and oneness of humanity.
Karan Attri, Ravidass Jayanti Saptah programme Incharge for J&K; programme Co-incharges—Dr. Gharu Sanehi, DDC Balbir Lal, Manohar Lal Menia and BJP SC Morcha general secretaries—Rahul Hans, Seema Devi and Mohinder Bhagat conducted the proceedings of the event.
Meanwhile, Shri Guru Ravidass Sabha Rajpura Mangotrian also celebrated the birth-anniversary of Guru Ravidass Ji.
Prominent among those who enlightened the gathering about the path shown by the great saint were Zorawar Singh, chairman Team Jammu, Dev Raj Angral, president, Ramesh Angurana, general secretary, All J&K Dr. Ambedkar Welfare Forum, Surinder Kakkar, social activist, Th. Manmohan Singh, Sanjay Verma, Ganesh Dass, chairman, Gouri Lal, Rashpal Digra, Bishan Dass, Bansi Lal, Vijay Kumar Thapa, Madan Lal, Mohinder Pal, Ashok Kumar, Dalip Thapa, Sonu Kumar Chalotra, Pishori Lal, Abhi Angural, Ashok Langeh, Mohan Lal Bavoria, Rattan Lal, Vicky Kumar, Rajesh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Tarsem Kumar and Ashok Angral.
