JAMMU, Mar 4: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leaders from Jammu & Kashmir led by party president, Ravinder Raina met BJP national president, Jagat Prakash Nadda to discuss the current political situation of J&K and BJP’s organizational activities.
MP Lok Sabha, Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, J&K BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Koul and J&K BJP general secretary, Sunil Sharma also accompanied Ravinder Raina, while they met BJP national president at New Delhi.
BJP leaders discussed the political, security and organizational matters of J&K at length with the top party leader. They apprised the national president of various developments going on in J&K, particularly in the previously neglected areas and put forth various action plans for the development of the region. They threw special stress on all the ongoing projects while stressing their pace must be increased with the bringing up of lingering and pending projects.
Discussions regarding revisit of Central Ministers to J&K Union Territory (UT) were also held in the meeting and it was emphasized that many concrete and fruitful steps were taken in the past visit by Union ministers regarding development projects in the region. It was also decided that the senior leaders from J&K BJP will plan their exhaustive visits to all the areas of J&K on the pattern of Back to Village programme soon to increase party interaction with the masses, know their issues and plan for the better development of the region.
BJP leaders discussed the matters related to the Panchayat, BDC and other public institutions of J&K with the national president of the party. They also discussed the Union Budget and extended gratitude to the Central leadership for the liberal funding of nearly 32,000 crore rupees for the development of newly carved UT of J&K.
Raina extended an invitation to the national president Nadda to visit J&K UT in near future who accepted it.
