BJP leader T N Bhat passes away

JAMMU, Sept 4: A senior BJP leader and ex president of party’s displaced district, T N Bhat who breathed his last here yesterday after a brief illness was given a touching adieu by his party men and people from all walks of life today. He was 68.
His cremation took place at Bantalab Cremation Ground near here. Maintaining COVID SOPs a large number of people participated in his funeral procession which started from his Chinore residence.
A staunch RSS man Bhat took keen interest in holding of Local Bodies and Panchayat elections in Kashmir. He headed the BJP displaced district as its president twice and also remained election incharge for the district during the last year’s Lok Sabha elections.
A grass root level worker and an ex army man Bhat served the party in various capacities after his retirement from Army.
BJP leaders including party president, Ravinder Raina and general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul besides various KP leaders have expressed their profound shock and grief over his demise and termed it a great loss.
