JAMMU, Aug 5: Led by Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency Incharge Yudhvir Sethi, a large number of local residents of Pakki Dhakki Mohalla of Jammu East Constituency, called on PHE Assistant Executive Engineer, Panjtirthi, to brief him about the problems being faced by them for the last one year.
While expressing resentment against non-seriousness on part of the PHE Department despite repeated representations and complaints regarding supply of polluted water,overflowing of muddy water from main holes of sewerage pipes and leakage of water supply pipes.
Yudhvir Sethi, while tabling the brief note of the public grievances, said that it is indeed very unfortunate that PHE officials have turned a deaf ear to the long pending grievances of the people suffering on account of irregular supply of clean drinking water, timely repair of water pipes and supply of contaminated water to the consumers.
The PHE Assistant Executive Engineer assured that the problems will be solved within next 2-3 days to the satisfaction of the local people of the area.
Jagmohan, Raman Kumar, Rinku Sharma, Sunny Kumar, Davinder and others also accompanied Mr Sethi.
