JAMMU, Dec 13: Protest demonstration and condemnations marked the recent statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah who is demanding holding of talks with Pakistan, who blamed former Governor, Jagmohan for mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits and also accused a nationalist political party of spreading communal hatred and using Pandits as vote bank.
Rashtriya Bajrang Dal (RBD) held a protest demonstration in front of Jammu Press Club, here and the irate activists of Dal torched the effigy of Dr Abdullah for his outbursts.
The protest was led by Rakesh Bajrangi, Pradesh head of the organisation.
Addressing protestors, Rakesh Bajrangi said Dr Abdullah is forcing Union Government to hold talks with Pakistan which is mother of terrorism. He said GoI has already made it clear that till Pakistan abandons its pro terrorist policy and arrests all the terrorists active on its soil no talks can be held with her.
He said two days back Dr Abdullah was giving sermons of press freedom and later he himself lost temper when a media person posed a question to him.
He said Dr Abdullah is having Z category security and still he claims that he is insecure. “If Dr Abdullah considers himself insecure under such heavy security cover he should go to Pakistan then’’, he added.
Bajrangi said it was NC and not former Governor, Jagmohan which was responsible for mass exodus of Pandits.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah, deserves respect due to his age but when it comes to morality, he changes colours more frequently than a chameleon said BJP spokesperson, Abhijeet Jasrotia.
He said that going by the history of NC after independence, his father was befooling innocent Kashmiris and was busy collecting donations to merge Kashmir with Pakistan. However, what he did after that is well known to all. Following his footsteps Dr. Farooq is exactly toeing his lines of befooling innocents.
Jasrotia, said that in 1987,when Buta Singh  was Union Home Minister and Rajiv Gandhi was PM,  the elections were rigged. MUF was made to loose and people lost faith in democracy, which started bloodshed in Kashmir. “Farooq formed coalition with Congress and murdered democracy that was the root cause of turmoil in Kashmir’’.
He said instead of levelling allegations on BJP or former Governor of J&K , Dr Abdullah should have an introspection that who was responsible for Kashmir crisis.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while strongly reacting to Dr Abdullah statement said that NC president was misleading the community. Kundan Kashmiri, president, KPC said that it was the NC which was responsible for KPs exodus in late eighties. The party failed to save the property, religious places and honour of minority Pandits when militancy erupted and Pandits were asked to leave Kashmir or face death. But no NC leader in the Government at that time came forward to counter them. He said Farooq was hiding the facts and blaming BJP and Jagmohan which is totally wrong and no saner Indian will accept this. He said Jagmohan was a messiah for the community.
BJP displaced district vice presidents, Shubun Ji Pandit and Bharat Bushan Bhat Gosani have also taken strong exception of NC president, Dr Farooq Abdullah’s recent statement in which he stated that vested interests who claimed to be well wishers of Kashmiri Pandits were misleading the community for vote bank.
In a hard hitting statement, Shibun Ji and Gosani termed Dr Farooq’s statement a total betrayal and misleading. They said it was BJP, RSS and other nationalist organisations which stood like a rock with exiled Pandits after their mass exodus for which pseudo secular parties like NC, PDP and Congress were totally responsible . They said instead of finding solution to problem and working for restoration of peace, Farooq fled to UK for his own safety and safety of his family. They said if Jagmohan was responsible for KPs exodus then who was responsible for NC leaders and workers migration who too took refuge in Jammu for their safety.
BJP senior leader and Prabhari Kulgam, Mushtaq Noorabadi has also strongly condemned the statement of Abdullah and said that no talks should be held with Pakistan which is sending terrorists in J&K to create disturbances. He said the today’s attack on a police Bus at Zewan in Srinagar is an eye opener that how Pakistan is deeply involved in creating disturbances in J&K.
