JAMMU, Jan 15: BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) president, Rajiv Pandita today demanded immediate release of emergency relief funds, adequate financial compensation for the migrant family at Jagti township whose flat and entire household belongings were damaged in a recent fire.
Rajiv Pandita who along with KDD team visited the Jagti camp today to take the stock of the problems of the family
Also demanded that an accelerated process be started to ensure help reaches the family at the earliest possible date. He however appreciated efforts of Relief Department in ensuring family shifting to a separate flat and start of the renovation work at the damaged flat.
KDD delegation also urged for immediate creation of Fire and Emergency Branch at Jagti township with a provision of availability of at least two fire emergency service vehicles so that such incidents do not get repeated in future with families loosing all their belongings to the fire incident.
Reiterating the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people, Pandita assured the victims that they would not be left to face this crisis alone.
He emphasized that the BJP team would provide all possible support to assist the family.
He was accompanied by senior members of the Zila team including general secretary Vimal Raina, vice president, Roop Ji Koul , Dolly Raina, secretary, Surinder K Bhat , Anjali Suri , Tika Lal Taploo Mandal president, Pyare Lal Pandita , both general secretaries, Kuldeep Razdan, M L Padroo , Booth presidents, Ashok Sumbly, Chaman Lal Pandita , Manoranjan Dhar , Yuva Morcha Karyakarta Ashish Sidda, Mahila Morcha president, Sujata Koul and her team and scores of prominent people of Samaj.
He appealed to the Government and authorities of Relief and Rehabilitation Department to intervene without delay.
