JAMMU, Mar 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district Jammu West unit today held a public meeting at Ward No. 35 in connection with preparations of upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The meeting was organized by Corporator Ward No. 35, Yash Pal Mantoo which was attended by MP Jammu-Poonch Constituency, Jugal Kishore Sharma, former State president BJP & former Minister Sat Sharma (CA), Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy. Mayor JMC, Purnima Sharma, State secretary, BJP Praduman Singh, district president BJP, Jammu West, Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal president, Janipur, Vijay Sharma and Corporator Ward No. 38, Surinder Sharma.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma on the occasion said that BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre has done lot for Jammu. Major achievements include setting up of AIIMS, IIT, IIM, Jammu-Akhnoor four lane highway and many more. Jugal said that there is no leader in the country who can match Modi’s popularity. He said party workers must gear up and put their entire focus in the upcoming general elections and take party’s accomplishments to masses.
Former Minister, Sat Sharma (CA) expressed confidence of winning all seats in the State. He maintained that BJP would be contesting polls highlighting the Modi Government’s achievements in door-to-door and person-to-person campaign. He also said that it is in the hands of the public to decide whether they want Majboot (powerful) Government or the Majboor (helpless) Government.
Mayor JMC, Chander Mohan Gupta said that people have trust in the party and like they have put faith in them during Municipal and local body election, the public will show it again during Lok Sabha elections.
Deputy Mayor, JMC, Purnima Sharma said that Mahagathbandhan of opposition parties is a mirage and it will not come in the way of BJP returning to power again at the Centre.
Master Joginder Pal Sharma, Sanjay Bhat, Vijay Khanna, Sanket Sharma, Sandesh Dogra, Kuldeep Singh, Yash Pal Gupta, Pawan Sharma, Des Raj Khajuria, Master Krishan Lal Gupta, Om Prakash Vridhi, Jaswant Chadha, Master Harbans Lal, Ved Prakash and many other were present on the occasion.
