JAMMU, Feb 29: The Congress party has alleged that BJP is interfering in the affairs of institutions of higher learning for its vested interests.
In a press statement issued here today, Pradesh Congress general secretary, Manohar Lal Sharma said that the incidents of Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Hyderabad Central University, the case of Rohith Vemullah and other institutions are the most unfortunate incidents in the history of India which create an unnecessary division between the different spheres of the society and tarnish the image of institutions of higher learning in the secular India.
He said JNU has given to the Nation the top scholars, intellectuals, leaders and top administrators through Indian Administrative Services and others since its establishment which contributes a lot to the development of the nation. The recent issues of JNU and Hyderabad universities are highly condemnable in all aspects.
Dr Sharma strongly criticized the irresponsible  role  of BJP Government and alleged that it always tries to shift responsibility of Government to opposition leaders by accusing them on such incidents. He further said that now Mr Modi is PM of India and BJP in power with sufficient majority and with all intelligence and law & order  agencies under their control why they are failing  to check and take timely action to prevent such anti national incidents in the country as well as in Kashmir.
The Congress leader said that these incidents were criticized widely by the all sections of society including all national  political parties irrespective of their faith and belief but BJP and its leadership is trying to show  only itself as the true nationalist and others as the anti nationalists and accusing them to befool the nation for their great failure in dealing with such unfortunate incidents. He said BJP tried to create division in the society which is dangerous.
