JAMMU, Apr 28: The Congress party has alleged that BJP led Government at the Centre is ignoring Dalits and other Backward classes.
In a press statement issued here today, senior Congress leader and former MLA, Dr Manohar Lal alleged that Modi led BJP Government is ignoring the Dalit community and not providing them representation in various fields.
He strongly criticized Mr Modi and his leadership on Dalit affairs and alleged that he claims to be the great sympathizer of the Dalits which is not true. The BJP Government is trying to befool the nation by not missing any occasion on the name of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar but it is not prepared to give proper representation in power and decision making bodies to any of Dalit leader.
The Cong leader further said that Congress nominated MLC Sham Lal Bhagat and BR Kundal, giving representation to Dalit community keeping a watch on democratic values and due share to all sections of the society but BJP is in center as well in State no representation is given to the Dalit community except Bali Bhagat the only Cabinet Minister in the State.
