JAMMU, Feb 2: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) senior leader Rajesh Gupta today demanded for the immediate restoration of Statehood status to J&K and stated that BJP is hurting the people by not fulfilling its promise.
Addressing to the media persons, Gupta said, “The Modi Government gave its handpicked administrator more powers, further shrinking the scope of the elected Government.”
“The people of J&K are demanding for the early restoration of Statehood, but the BJP is placing its “vested political interests” above the welfare of the masses,” he said and added that non-locals are running the affairs of Jammu and Kashmir Government.
