JAMMU, Mar 9: BJP State President Sat Sharma alongwith former Minister and MLA Priya Sethi and BJP State Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi honoured PTC Voice of Punjab winner Sonali Dogra.
Prominent and senior officials of various Govt Departments besides political and social figures.
Sonali Dogra, a versatile singer from the state had recently won 6th Season of the Grand Finale of PTC’s singing talent hunt show Voice of Punjab.
While congratulating Sonali Dogra and later addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said that this daughter of the soil has made the state and particularly Jammu proud by winning the prestigious talent show. He said that the local talent needs to be provided much needed support so that they can showcase their worth at different national and international events. As far, females, it is indeed more to celebrate as the talent of Sonali Dogra has proved that gender do not matter if one has the capability to stand and conquer.
Priya Sethi said that by winning such a prestigious award, Sonali has brought laurels and honour to Jammu and each one of us has proud of her achievement. She said that the region is rich in culture and has given stalwarts in the field of music, fine arts and culture and the women have scaled new heights in many such fields.
“Females from Jammu have done extremely well in any field they have chosen and I feel extremely proud to honour singing sensation of our city,” she added.
Yudhvir Sethi extended greetings to Sonali Dogra and hoped that the singer would continue winning more and more awards at national and international levels.
