UDHAMPUR, Jan 17: Bhartitya Janata Party (BJP) Udhampur Mandal organized a meeting in village Badali under the leadership of Sardar Guru Baksh Singh Sarpanch of Badali Panchayat while former vice-president of BJP Pawan Gupta was the chief guest.
Udhampur Mandal president Raj Kumar Bucha, president Muslim cell of District BJP and Sarpanch Raj Mohammad. Chandel, president Bhartiya Janata Youva Morcha (BJYM) Udhampur district and Sarpanch Jeevan Sharma and Senior BJP Sumer Khajuria were special invitee in the meeting.
Political activists of different parties joined BJP under the leadership of Pawan Gupta on the occasion.
While welcoming them in party fold Pawan Gupta hoped that they will strengthen BJP.
In his address Sarpanch Sardar Guru Baksh Singh said that Badali Panchayat is hardly 5 Kms away from Udhampur Town but the people of the Panchayat lack basic amenities. It is unfortunate that in Ward No. 8 of Panchayat PHE Department has failed to provide the facilities of drinking water and the pipes have not been laid till date. He further said that development works are at stand still and Government of India sponsored schemes are not properly implemented.
The meeting was also addressed by local BJP leaders including Panch Preetam, Panch Mohini, Motiram, Basant Ram, Raj Kumar, Rattan Lal, Sansar Chand and Romesh Kumar.
