JAMMU, Oct 8: Registering 6 crore new members in just 54 days in the country by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during the membership drive itself speaks about the popularity of the party making it first & last choice of masses. This is not a small achievement and days are not far when it will be only BJP with almost entire population becoming part of the party.
This was claimed by BJP State spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while commenting on the steep rise in number of the people enrolling themselves as members of this national political party.
Balbir said that the party has already overtaken other political parties in the country and even at international level it has left behind China, thus becoming a party with largest number of people as its members. He said that the party has achieved such distinction while working on the principle of considering nation and its interests paramount. The BJP led Government at the Centre under Prime Minister, Narendra Modi too has displayed its real concern for every section of the society with the target of reaching last man in the last row through its welfare schemes, thus improving their socio-economic status and helping them to lead a dignified life.
“Corruption, nepotism and appeasement has no place in scheme of things of BJP Government”, Balbir said and added that it is the only party where a booth level activist can become national president or Prime Minister. He said that the people have themselves seen the misgovernance of Congress in particular for decades and made up their mind to support BJP in the interest of the nation and its people.
Balbir further said that in Jammu Kashmir also, the BJP has received overwhelming response to party’s membership drive in the post Article 370 abrogation period, with large number of people seen enthusiastic to get themselves associated with it as they feel that BJP is the only party which has kept the promise made at the time elections. They have full faith in this party with a difference, which is willing to walk the talk, said Balbir.
