JAMMU, Mar 24: Former Deputy Chief Minister and senior Congress leader, Tara Chand today alleged that Modi Govt has duped the youth of the country on the name of employment generation.
Addressing a large gathering of people at Chak Malal in Khour today, Tara Chand said BJP Government has created job crisis in the country. But the party was not ready to accept this hard realty.
Tara Chand pointed out that during 2014 elections Modi had claimed that if his Government comes to power in the country, he would provided 2 crore jobs every year to the educated youth of the country. But this slogan came out to be a mere `Jumla’. The youth of the country are feeling cheated after the passage five years.
The Congress leader further alleged that Modi had also talked about depositing Rs 15 lakh in the account of every Indian and double the income of farmers but these two more slogans also proved hollow. The people are quit angry over these hollow claims of the Modi Government and will teach a lesson to the BJP during these elections.
“Having being denied parity and the equitable share in the State’s resources, the BJP rule in the State witnessed the most humiliating and prejudicial treatment meted out to the Jammu region, especially to the youth of the region,” Tara Chand said
He alleged that former MLA Chhamb, Krishan Lal neglected the people of the area as no new development projects were taken up ion this constituency during last four years. He asked the people to go to the constituency make a contrast between what was there before Tara Chand , and during his regime and what progress was seen during BJP legislator’s term.
Tara Chand also constituted Election Committee of Youth Congress in the area and asked them to gear up their activities. Many youth joined Congress party on this occasion.
