JAMMU, Mar 11: Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Government at the Centre has cheated the people belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) by passing two meaningless bills in the parliament on the name of OBCs without giving 27% due share to them.
This was stated by leaders of All India backward Classes Union (AIBCU) during two different meetings organized by the Union at Thanamandi and Budhal. While the meeting at Thanamandi was held under the chairmanship of Rajouri president Mohd Sayeed Najar, the programme at Budhal was organized under the chairmanship of Farooq Inqlabi.
The AIBCU leaders said that OBCs in Jammu and Kashmir got nothing even after the abrogation of Article 370. “There was a nomenclature change from OSC to OBC which could have proved the gate way for OBC’s due share but proved only a cheating tactics,” they added.
The other matter which was taken up in both the meetings was the to save the Indian Constitution as AIBCU leaders alleged that the focus of the BJP Government is to dilute or to finish the Indian Constitution to finish democracy and to again implement the ‘Varan Vyavastha’ which speaks that categories like OBCs, SCs and STs should have no rights.
All participants decided to focus on “Save Constitution- Save Democracy and Save India” in the next Lok Sabha elections by the best use of their right to vote. “Time of demanding anything from the hopeless Government and political parties is over as everyone has cheated OBCs in the past 75 years,” they asserted.
Prominent AIBCU leaders that spoke on the occasion were State general secretary Prof Kali Dass, Mohd Afzal, Bilal Mahi, Mohd Asif, Muneer Ahmed Mugal, Abdul Rashid, Chamail Singh, Alaf Din, Mohd Ashfaq, Kala Khan, Mohd Yussaf and Mohd Aslam.
