JAMMU/SRINAGAR June 19: Concerned over the selective killings of minorities in Kashmir BJP today demanded that all the displaced Hindus be settled at one place within Valley to address their security concerns.
A resolution to this effect was passed in the BJP Kashmir Displaced District (KDD) Working Committee meeting here which was chaired by its senior vice president J L Pandita. The resolution was presented by Moti Lal Bhat and it was seconded by Hira Lal Bhat and later passed through a voice vote.
The resolution made it clear that the honorable and dignified rehabilitation and return of Kashmiri Hindus was not possible except their one place settlement within Valley where they should be provided all facilities of housing, education, employment , health care, avenues for trade and industry.
The resolution termed the eight year rule of PM Modi at Centre as golden era. It demanded four seats for Kashmiri Hindus in Assembly and one seat in Rajya Sabha by modifying the recommendation of Delimitation Commission, enhancement of monthly cash assistance for relief holders, the safety and security of PM package employees and non package Hindu employees be given top priority by the UT administration and their sense of insecurity of life, neglect, discrimination and deprivation must be addressed by taking their representatives into confidence.
Moreover a Legislative mechanism be created to protect all the Hindu shrines and temples in Kashmir Valley and a Statutory Commission headed by Supreme Court Judge be constituted to probe the genocidal atrocities committed on Kahsmiri Hindus since 1989 and those responsible be punished as [per law.
Addressing the Working Committee Ajay Bharti ex MLC, who was the cheif guest said that there are certain anti national and anti social elements and organisations at the behest of the some foreign agencies, who wanted to destabilise the present NDA Government at the Centre and are jealous of India’s development and progress. He further said we need to combat and confront these forces and reach out among the different sections of people and BJP KDD has to play vital role in the displaced community to achieve the necessary goals for political empowerment, dignified return and rehabilitation. J L Pandit vice president KDD who presided over the meeting explained the activities of KDD.
H K Razdan district general secretary presented the report card for the last quarter.
The other persons who spoke on the occasion were Anil Dhar. Vote of thanks presented by Sanjay Bhat general secretary and the programme was conducted by Rahul Koul president, Yuva Morcha.
Meanwhile BJP Srinagar held a district Working Committee meeting in Srinagar where all the participants pledged to win all eight seats of the district besides reaching out to the masses in the days ahead.
The meeting was chaired by BJP’s district president for Srinagar Ashok Bhat where DDC Member from Khonmoh and young BJP leader Er Aijaz Hussain also participated. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Bhat sought feedback from workers over their performance in the past six months and discussed the road ahead.
Bhat asked the workers to reach out to masses of city to strengthen the party base further.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC member Er Aijaz Hussain stressed on maintaining close coordination among all party workers of Srinagar district.
