JAMMU, July 19: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma today strongly condemned the BJP for its complete surrender before PDP for the lust of power for which the nationlist people of State will pay heavy cost in future.
In a press statement here today Mr Sharma said that the BJP has mercilessly failed on all fronts due to its confused approach in dealing the security and other national issues. He said the people living in all the three regions of the State feel betrayed in all respects keeping in view the way the BJP is functioning.
Dr Sharma asked the Government to convene all party meeting of all three regions of the state to take the view, discuss and find out the solution of the present unrest in the State as earliest as possible. Due to unfortunate incidents and unrest in Kashmir, all the regions of the Sate have affected badly in all respects including business as well as in other activities like the religious tourism in Mata Vaishno Devi, Budha Amarnath and Baba Amarnath Yatra, which is adversely affected.
The Congress leader expressed deep concern over the failure of the BJP in conducting the Baba Amarnath Yatra smoothly. He said Yatra is decreasing every year after BJP came into power at the Centre and also in J&K.
It is pertinent to mention that there is concrete evidence of Pakistan’s role to exploit the youth in Kashmir to destabilize the State but it is the prime duty of Government to provide fool proof security and protection to the yatris as well as every citizens of the state and keeping the intelligence agencies more proactive to avoid such untoward incidents and not leave on the mercy of others, Mr Sharma added.
