JAMMU, Nov 25: Balwan Singh Former MLA and General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) said that BJP has failed miserably to come up to the expectations of the people of the UT.
“BJP also failed to address the problems of farmers, youths, employees, casual labourers and traders and every section of the society is suffering as their grievances are not being addressed”, he added.
He also asked BJP to explain its power sharing with the People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) in Kargil Hill Development Council before raising questions to the Congress party which has history of sacrifices for the unity and integrity of the nation.
He said BJP has been exposed for its double standard sharing power with PDP and NC in the Kargil Hill Council contrary to its public posturing against patriotic credentials of two of its alliance partners in the Hill Council with an attempt to exploit the sentiments of the people. He also reminded the BJP who shared power with PDP for over three years in Jammu and Kashmir but not fulfilled a single promise made to the people of Jammu.
He hoped the LG administration will come to the rescue of the people even as the BJP Government at the centre prefers to remain mute spectator to the problems of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He appealed to the people of the UT to teach a lesson to BJP for pushing J&K into the worst ever situation.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Sharma lashed out BJP for its double standard and befooling people for vote bank politics. He said that BJP always befool and exploit people for electoral gains while reminding in 2014 elections BJP not only mainly campaigned to stop PDP from coming to power and secured mandate from Jammu at the slogan but later shared power with the same party for three years betraying the mandate of the people. He appealed the people to cast their valuable vote in favour of congress party who guarantees serving the people of the state in a better way.
The meeting was also addressed by Munshi Ram Salali, Sardari Lal Dubey, Sohan singh Thakur, Rajinder Thapa and Ramesh Chander besides Panthal Block Sarpanchs, Panchs and others.
