JAMMU, Jan 24: Former Minister and vice president of JKPCC, Mula Ram today criticized BJP for betraying the people of the State and violated the massive mandate given by the people of Jammu region.
Addressing a booth delegate level meeting here at Raipur Domana Constituency, the former Minister said that the promises made to the people like eradication of unemployment, development and providing the basic facilities have proven a mere hoax on ground.
He said that the claims and the actual work done on ground remained mismatched and the sufferings of the common people have increased manifolds. He also expressed concern over the problems being faced by the border dwellers.
Mula Ram held BJP responsible for surrendering the interests of people of Jammu and throwing the elections promises to the dustbin. He exhorted the people of J&K to teach a lesson to both BJP and PDP in the upcoming elections.
The former Minster said that if Congress voted to power, the problems of people residing border areas would be resolved by providing them plots to safer place, employment to border youth, fertilizers and feeds on subsidized rates.
Hari Singh Chib, president of District Congress Committee, Jammu Rural, threw light on the present political scenario of the State. He urged upon the party cadre to gear up for the upcoming elections in the State with a view to ensure victory of Party with a thumping majority.
Uday Chib, president, Pradesh Youth Congress, in his address, expressed concern over the problems being faced by the youth of the State. He said the BJP has been failed to address the suffering of the youth. He also expressed serious concern over the anti-youth policy adopted by the previous regime.
