BJP to empower Panchayats in J&K: Vibodh

RAJOURI, Nov 30: Terming non implementation of 73rd amendment of Indian Constitution in J&K as biggest hurdle in the development of the State, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) State vice president Advocate Vibodh Gupta has said that if BJP will form Government in the State, the first and foremost thing will be implementation of 73rd amendment for strengthening Panchayat institutions.
Addressing election rally at Dhangri Rajouri in support of BJP candidate of Kalakote, Er Abdul Gani Kohli, Gupta said that 73rd amendment is very important so far as rural development is concerned.
However, Congress only assured but never implemented it in the State, he said adding that biggest hurdle in its implementation was double standard of Congress because they never wanted to implement it.
Launching an attack on the NC led Government, Engineer Abdul Gani Kohli said that Kalakote MLA has done nothing in his 12 years tenure and the area remained neglected.
He said that if he will be given a chance, he will make the constituency a model constituency of the Pir Panjal area.
Senior BJP leader Kuldeep Raj Gupta has said that PM Narendra Modi has become internationally acclaimed leader due to his positive and pro people policies and now J&K has also faith on Modi and this time BJP will form its first Government in this State.
He appealed to the people to vote in support of BJP candidates in order to strengthen the hands of Narendra Modi.
