JAMMU, Dec 1: Proceeding with the process of organizational elections Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh elected new presidents of 13 districts in Jammu province today.
The whole process in the two UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is being observed under the supervision of senior leaders Varinderjeet Singh as State incharge organizational elections and Munish Sharma as co-incharge for the process.
Giving information on the elections, Munish Sharma said that all the elections from booth level to Mandal level and now district level have been covered in transparent manner and disciplined way.
Sharma said that under the three tier system of BJP organizational elections 5022 booths and 115 Mandals have been covered out of 5531 and 134 respectively. Today the party completed process for election of 13 district presidents, while the process for all 17 will be completed by December 5. He said that soon the thorough process for the election of State president will be started.
Sharma, also informed that 31 State Council members have also been elected simultaneously in the process. He said Pardeep Singh Parihar has been elected as district president, Kishtwar while Swami Raj Sharma has been elected as district president for Doda.
Puran Chand has been elected as district president Udhampur while Sheel Magotra has been elected as district president Reasi.
Col. (retd) Mann Singh has been elected as district president Basohli, Amar Singh has been elected as district president Samba. H. S. Pammi has been elected district president R. S. Pura and Vinay Gupta has been elected as district president Jammu.
Munish Khajuria has been elected as district president Jammu West while Rajinder Singh Chib has been elected as district president Jammu Rural. Jagdish Bhagat has been elected as district president Akhnoor and Capt. (retd) Balkrishan has been elected as district president Nowshera. Mohd. Rafiq Chishti has been elected as district president Poonch.
