BJP condemns Congress for disruptions, vows to go ahead with Monsoon session agenda

NEW DELHI :  Holding the Congress squarely responsible for creating obstacles in the path of country’s progress, Parliamentary Committee meeting of the BJP today said the opposition party’s behaviour was “condemnable and obstructionist.”
Briefing mediapersons after the meeting, senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the Government will not be cowed down by the Congress party and will keep forging ahead in taking the country on the path of economic progress.
Mr Naqvi said the meeting was held in the presence of senior leaders such as L K Advani and Venkaiah Naidu and deep concern was expressed by the party on sustained disruptions of Parliament by the Congress and some other parties.
“Congress is directly responsible for depriving the country of the  development it deserves. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains committed to the uplift of the poor and economically backward people of the country,” Mr Naqvi said.
Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan had yesterday suspended 25 Congress party MPs for causing ‘grave disorder’ by showing placards and disrupting the House ever since the Monsoon session started. (AGENCIES)
