BJP completes 80 pc organizational elections at booth level

JAMMU, Sept 26: The ongoing organizational elections of the party, which commenced on September 11, have been peacefully and successfully completed in 80 per cent booths in Jammu province under first phase and almost there has been consensus on electing party activists as booth presidents.
This was informed by BJP State Election incharge, Varinderjeet Singh, while discussing the progress in election related exercise being undertaken across Jammu Province with State general secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, along with Co-Incharge, Munish Sharma, at party headquarter today.
Varinderjeet informed Koul that till now, the elections have been held in peaceful atmosphere and 80% booths have been covered. There had been minor complaints at some places but the same were sorted out and consensus candidates were elected, he added.
The elections under first phase will be completed by September 30 and before taking up 2nd phase for Mandal elections on October 11, ten days time has been kept reserved for appeals, said Varinderjeet, further sharing that the entire exercise of these organizational elections has to be completed by December ending and the same calendar is being followed in all the States by the party.
Ashok Koul expressed satisfaction over the electioneering and asked State incharge to maintain the proper record of the entire exercise and that under no situation there should be any violation of the laid down procedure for conducting organisational elections.
Both, Varinderjeet Singh and Munish Sharma, assured that the elections will be completed in the fixed time and expressed gratitude to the party for bestowing them with an important assignment to serve the party.
