BJP committed to welfare of Gujjars: Sukhnandan

JAMMU, Feb 2: A convention of the Gujjar community of Marh constituency in Jammu district was held at village Gajansoo in which large number of people of the community participated and highlighted the problems being faced by them.
The convention was presided over by the former Minister, Ex MLA Marh and chairman, Panchayati Raj Cell BJP, JK UT, Ch  Sukhnandan Kumar.
Representatives of Gujjar community from different villages of Marh constituency participated in the convention and highlighted the problems of the community.
One of the main speakers, Jaqir Hussain said that Gujjar community in J & K being nationalist Indians want to join hands with BJP, particularly in Marh constituency after witnessing the development of the constituency in general and Gujjar community in particular.
He, while highlighting the performance of Choudhary Sukhnandan as MLA and Minister said “We have not seen such a impartial leader who talks about “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas “without differentiating any caste, creed, colour and religion’’.
Another speaker Sadiq Panch also highlighted the developmental works being done in the border belt by the ex MLA Marh and hoped that the left out works will also be completed very soon.
While speaking on the occasion, Choudhary Sukhnandan Kumar said that being a resident of the border village he is well aware of the day to day problems being faced by the Gujjar community and he always tried his level best to solve these problems as road connectivity, drinking water facility and bridges over the old Chenab river.
It is the BJP Government at the Centre which has constructed so many  bunkers along the border belt which can be used by the people during cross border firing”, he added.
He also assured the community that BJP Government is committed for the welfare of nomadic people residing along the border belt.
Gujjar leaders who spoke on the occasion were Sadiq Panch, Jaqir Hussain, Babu Khan, Salam Din.
