JAMMU, Jan 29: With a motive to provide a clean aura and best possible infrastructure to the inhabitants of Jammu West Assembly segment, former Minister and Ex MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) along with Deputy Mayor, JMC, Purnima Sharma and corporator Ward 37, Sunita Gupta started works for construction of new lanes in Janipur colony near Ramleela ground of the Ward. The leader was accompanied by a large number of people including local residents and political activists of the area. The works will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rupees 27 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that such works are being taken up in every Ward of Jammu West and he appreciated the works of the Corporators for taking up the works of utmost priority in the wards which will solve many problems of the inhabitants. He said every activist of the party is connected with the public and the matters which need immediate attention are solved on priority in order to avoid public distress. He stated that Jammu West is amongst the largest constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir in terms of population and during his tenure as MLA and even after dissolution of the Assembly he reached out to every booth covering all wards including the areas which were ignored prior to 2014 and developed those areas, he added.
He also stated that under the leadership of PM Modi, BJP is committed to serve the society and works on the agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas Sabka Prayas”.
Purnima Sharma said that the long pending demand of the inhabitants has been resolved and maximum area will be covered under the works being taken up which will provide an adequate  system to the locals. She also highlighted the works executed by JMC for betterment of Jammu.
Sunita said that booth wise teams have been constituted in the Ward to look into the grievance of the masses and she stated that former MLA has worked a lot to improve the infrastructure in Jammu West and particularly in Ward 37.
Sahil Gupta, Ramesh Sharma, Neeru Sehgal, Meena Jamwal, Mukesh Maini, Rakesh Gupta and several others were also present.
