RAJOURI, Feb 10: BJP State general secretary and former MLC, Vibodh Gupta today visited Old Bus Stand Rajouri and took stock of various developmental works going on in the area. During this trip Vibodh Gupta was accompanied by BJP district president, Rajinder Gupta and president Municipal Council, Rajouri, Mohammed Arif. Interacting with the transporters shopkeepers of the area, Vibodh listen to various issues being faced by the trading community of the area.
In his address to the gathering, Vibodh highlighted various developmental projects going on in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch. While informing about the ongoing work on the double laning of the Jammu -Poonch National Highway, Vibodh informed that currently work on this project is in full swing and this road project will be completed soon. Once this project will be completed it will give a huge boost to the economic activity in the region.
While referring to the various tourism promotion initiatives for Rajouri and Poonch, Vibodh said that for tourism promotion also good roads and better connectivity is must. Present double laning of Jammu -Poonch highway is a step towards this direction.
While reacting to the various demands of the trading community, Vibodh said that black topping of the Old Bus Stand will be done soon and he will take up this matter with the concerned authorities on priority. He also highlighted the fact that Old Bus Stand, Rajouri is a heritage area of city and its proper maintenance and face lifting will go a long way in making Rajouri town a Model Town of Jammu & Kashmir. While referring to the vision and mission of PM Narendra Modi, Vibodh said that the present Central Government is fully committed to the overall growth and development of all neglected areas of UT.
On this occasion, Vibodh highlighted the fact that presently developmental projects are visible on the ground and one can witness this everywhere. This he said is the result of BJP’s commitment for holistic and inclusive development.
