Srinagar, Feb 10: Three persons have been detained by police in Chewa area of Bandipora district over accusations of molestation and making of an abduction bid on a local girl this afternoon.
The situation turned awry in the area after three persons on a vehicle tried to molest and made bid to abduct a 9-year-old girl. The girl raised hue and cry which alerted the locals, who rushed the spot to rescue the victim.
All the three persons were held besides the vehicle on the spot was seized and police was informed about it. A police team visited the spot and took the trio into custody.
