BJP committed to empower women: Priya Sethi

LEH, (Ladakh) Oct 14 : Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information, Priya Sethi during her election campaign of the LAHDC poll today interacted with group of women at different places in Chuchot area.
Highlighting the various schemes introduced by Modi Government for empowerment of women, Priya said that with the motto “Beti Padao, Beti Bachao” the BJP Government is determined to work whole heartedly for the development and upliftment of the women section in every part of the country. She urged all the participating women to vote in favour of the BJP candidate in the forthcoming LAHDC election and ensure a corruption free Government.
She said that BJP Government promises to start developmental processes in Leh district in true terms and added, “people at both Centre and State have given a clear message that they don’t want Congress Government anymore and now it’s time that you give the chance to run LAHDC to BJP.” Sethi appealed all the women folks to have their participation in governance by using their franchise to vote and elect their BJP candidate for a better change. “Women have a very significant role to play in growth and development and now it’s time for every woman to grab the opportunities to strengthen their roles in governance and political fields,” asserted Sethi.
During the interaction, Priya Sethi informed the women about various scholarship schemes introduced by Modi Government and ensured to make it available to the Ladakhi students. Making mention of Mudra Bank Loan Scheme and other employment related schemes for women at village level, Sethi committed to organize workshops for the women of Leh district for their skill up-gradation and to provide avenues for self employment. She also gave assurance to promote Pashmina production under initiatives of BJP Government in the region ensuring direct benefits to the locals. In education sector, Sethi said that the Government is making every effort to ensure services of masters and lecturers in the district leaving no post vacant.  “Our endeavour is to provide all sort of higher education facilities within the district with prime focus on students who needs to go outside Ladakh for their higher studies,” noted Sethi.
