JAMMU, Apr 5: Maintaining that the matter pertaining to Article 35A and 370 is pending in the Supreme Court, BJP Spokesperson and Supreme Court Advocate Ashwani Upadhyay today challenged Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti to become a party in the case instead of misleading innocent Kashmiris over the issue.
In a statement, Mr Ashwani suggested that instead of making controversial statements to mislead Kashmiris, both Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti should file Intervention Application in the court and become Respondents over the issue.
“Let them put their legal luminaries and discuss the matter in the court of law instead of misleading innocent Kashmiri brother and sister,” he said and alleged that leaders of PDP and NC don’t have faith in Supreme Court and Constitution.
