JAMMU, Dec 25: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) celebrated birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, here today.
Member Parliament Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas inaugurated free medical camp at Paloura park on the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The camp was organized by Arogya Foundations of India where Dr Vikas Kumar President Arogya Foundation distributed free medicines among the patients along with his team members. More than 200 patients from the adjoining areas were examined and treated. Bone Density Test also conducted during the camp by Vishal, who specially came from Delhi.
To commemorate Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s birthday as Good Governance Day, a function was organised at Ward Number 5 Jammu, wherein MLA Rajesh Gupta was the chief guest. While speaking, MLA threw light on the life of Vajpayee. BJP leaders and many others were present on the occasion.
On the occasion of ‘Good Governance Day’, BJP remembered the services of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his birth anniversary by organizing a programme in Bal Ashram Manjakote. The programme was chaired by MLC Vibodh Gupta and attended by several senior BJP leaders, civil society members, Superintendent Bal Ashram, SHO Manjakote and SWO Manjakote. MLC Vibodh motivated the students of Bal Ashram Manjakote to work hard and to become a torch bearer in society. BJP senior leader Talib Mir and BJP Mandal President Mohammad Azeem also addressed the gathering. BJP leaders also distributed notebooks, sports items, sweets and other stationary material among the students.
To commemorate birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Keshav Chopra, BJP Booth President 77 of Talab Tillo Mandal, Jammu West organised a function at booth level in which they distributed halwa prasad. District President BJP Jammu West Ayodhya Gupta, State Executive Member Parneesh Mahajan and Talab Tillo Mandal President Jeet Angral were also present during the function.
BJP Mandal Bhaderwah celebrated 93rd birthday of Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Bhaderwah. The proceedings of the function were conducted by Mandal President Ramneek Singh Manhas. The function was attended by prominent party workers and local party leaders.
Continuing its activities under “Sushasan Yuva Mahotsav”, BJYM State President Dr Suresh Ajay Magotra started “Publicity through Sticker” campaign at Satwari Chowk in a programme organised by BJYM Jammu under the presidentship of Hari Om Sharma. This campaign will be continued by BJYM in all organizational districts across the State, where more than 10,000 stickers will be pasted on buses, trains, trucks, autos and two wheelers to celebrate Good Governance Festival on 93rd birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. State Incharge for Sticker Campaign, BJYM State Secretaries Ajay Manhas, Shrey Sethi, Rahul Vaid, Narinder Partap Singh, Tarun Sharma General Secretary, Karan Sat Sharma Vice-President, Sunny Sangotra Secretary and Sham Mehra District President Nowshera were also present.
To commemorate birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Durga Mandal of Kashmir Displaced District organised birthday pooja according to Kashmiri culture. The pooja was organised by District President Chand Jee Bhar along with his party workers. Girdhari Lal Raina, MLC also took part in the celebrations.
To celebrate birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a function was organised by the Co-ordination Committee of Bharat Nagar in Mohallah Talab Tillo under the leadership of Manohar Lal Gupta. The main features of the function were recitation of Dogri poems, distribution of free sim cards, free medical check-up, demonstration by Maruti Vehiclades and distribution of sweets. President Sham Lal Gupta and Vice President Goverdhan Lal Sharma presented vote of thanks.
