JAMMU, Mar 11: BJP celebrated the landslide victory of the Party in Assembly elections of Uttar Pradesh and Uttrakhand as well as its satisfactory performance in Manipur and Goa Assembly elections the results of which were declared today.
The grand function was held at Party Headquarters at Trikuta Nagar where the jubilant Party workers busted crackers, distributed sweets and danced to drum beats in praise of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and party national president Amit Shah.
The Party activists also took out a scooter rally in Trikuta Nagar celebrating the victory. The BJP leaders including party president Sat Sharma, MP (LS) Jugal Kishore Sharma, M P (RS) Shamsher Singh Manhas, MoS, Education Priya Sethi, Party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, general secretary, Narinder Singh, vice president Yudhvir Sethi , newly appointed VCs of PSEs inclduign Balbir Ram Rattan, Munish Sharma, Subash Jandial, Virenderjit Singh and Dr Ali and other senior functionaries participated in the celebrations.
Addressing the Party activists Sat Sharma said with present victory, BJP alone or in alliance with regional parties will have Government in maximum number of States of the country now. He said BJP victory in UP, Uttrakhand and in Manipur is marvellous and unprecedented. This has become possible because of the visionary and dynamic leadership of Narendra Modi, he added.
In his address Jugal Kishore Sharma said that landslide victory for the Party in Assembly poll in UP and Uttrakhand has shown that people have fully endorsed the policies and programmes of Narendra Modi Government and rejected the Opposition which created hue and cry on demonetization.
Priya Sethi and Ashok Kaul also said that Prime Minister, Party national president Amit Shah and workers deserve credit for the victory.
The Party activists also celebrated the victory at Srinagar in Kashmir valley and busted crackers. They danced over the massive victory of the Party into Assembly elections.
In his address BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar congratulated party leadership for coming up with the huge margin in the States. The people accepted Narendra Modi’s policies and welfare programmes, he added.
BJP Media in charge Kashmir Altaf Thakur said the credit of the victory goes to PM Narendra Modi, Party national president Amit Shah and the workers of the Party. A large number of party leaders attended the function.
Another function was held by Jammu district to celebrate the historic victory in Assembly elections under the leadership of district president Baldev Singh Billawaria. On the occasion the workers of BJP took out a bike and car rally which started from Gangyal, and passed via Shastri Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar and later culminated at Party head office Trikuta Nagar. Another rally was held in Jammu City which culminated at district H.Q Pt.Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan, Kachi Chawni.
At Udhampur Party took out a victory procession under the leadership of its State general secretary, Pawan Khajuria. A large number of workers including district president, Rakesh Gupta and other office bearers participated in it. Pawan Khajuria in his address said that the landslide victory of party especially in an important State like UP shows that no body can challenge the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is gaining popularity day by day among the masses.
The BJP also celebrated the victory of party at Kathua under the leadership of district president Prem Nath Dogra. The party activists danced to the drum beats and burst crackers.
Another function was also held at Rajouri under the leadership of MLC Vibodh Gupta in which Party activists celebrated the victory in State Assembly elections.
The reports of celebrations have also come from other district headquarters including Samba, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Doda and Kishtwar. At Bhadarwah a victory procession was taken under the leadership of Ramnek Manhas.
BJP displaced districts also celebrated the BJP victory under Chand Ji Bhat at Durga Nagar which was also attended by Bharat Bhushan Gosani & P L Dhar.
