To celebrate the Day, the youth Wing of BJP Bharatiya Janata Yuwa Morcha (BJYM) took out a grand Tiranga rally across Jammu while Tiranga rallies were also taken out by other organisations endorsing the Modi Government’s decision of abrogation of Article 370.
A large number of youth with Tricolours in their hands and shouting slogans Bharat Mata Ki Jai participated in the rally which passed through various areas of Jammu.

BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh, who is also the party affairs in-charge for the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, said one of the more significant achievements of the 2019 decision was that it dealt a big blow to the divisive and terrorist forces.
Addressing the party workers in Srinagar, Chugh said that after many decades, the Pakistan-sponsored militancy seems to be on the backfoot. Anti-national feelings among people have been replaced by the ideas of inclusive development and progress, he added.
Chugh came down heavily on the Gupkar Alliance for “trying to disrupt the positive narrative in J&K”.
He said the basic facilities of health and education have improved considerably in J&K even as people from Gujjar and other communities have found equal opportunities to grow something that they were deprived of for the last 70 years.
He said the democratic norms have been restored in J&K after the election to the Panchayat bodies, elections to the Block Development Councils and District Development Councils which not only empowered the people but also strengthened the grass-root democracy in J&K.
He came down heavily on Gupkar Alliance whom he accused were still trying to disrupt the positive narrative in J&K. “These parties were under strong apprehension that they would soon become redundant in J&K politics because people will slowly sideline them and reject their divisive agenda’’, he added.
Ashish Sood, party co incharge for J&K while addressing a Tiranga rally at Poonch said the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35 A were not merely concerned with the total inclusion of J&K within Indian State but it also served as the main purpose of developmental politics as envisaged by Prime Minister , Narendra Modi.
He said that the visionary leadership of PM Modi and his revolutionary slogan Sabka , Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas has been the core ideal of the development of Jammu and Kashmir ever since Articles 370 and 35 A have been abrogated. This has made possible efficient implementation of Anti Corruption laws in the UT and has also been instrumental in giving the essential rights to refugees living in the UT, he added.
Addressing party main rally at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar Jammu party J&K president, Ravinder Raina paid tributes to Praja Parisahd founder Pt Prem Nath Dogra, Thakur Baldev Singh and others. He recollected their memories who contributed in the historical struggle of total integration of J&K with India and abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A.
He also recalled the sacrifice of founder president of Bharatiya Janata Sangh, Dr Shyama Prasad Mookerjee who laid down his life for total integration of J&K with Indian Union and abrogation of 370 was fulfilment of his dream by Modi Government.
Raina said J&K suffered a lot due to controversial articles which were introduced with an evil design and under a deep conspiracy. It was a plot to divide the nation once again and Congress throughout remained a party to it, he added.
He said the Kashmiri leaders PDP, NC and others have looted the resources of the erstwhile State under the garb of Article 370 and they were exploiting the people on the name of this Article to fill up their own coffers. But the Modi Government has now tightened its noose on all those who looted the J&K over the years.
