JAMMU, Sept 11: The BJP Border District unit, under the leadership of District President Rinku Choudhary, organized a workshop today to finalize preparations for the upcoming ‘Seva Pakhwada’ – a fortnight-long campaign running from September 17 to October 2.
The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from BJP leaders and workers across the Border District. J&K UT BJP Minority Morcha President Ranjodh Singh Nalwa graced the event as the chief guest, alongside District In-charge Rajinder Singh Chib, State Minority Morcha In-charge H S Pummy, and other party functionaries.
Addressing the gathering, Nalwa emphasized the significance of Seva Pakhwada, which begins on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday (Sept 17) and concludes on Gandhi Jayanti (Oct 2) – also marking the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri.
Highlighting the campaign’s themes of ‘Swadeshi’ and ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’, Nalwa stated that the initiative reflects Prime Minister Modi’s commitment to self-reliant development and inclusive governance. “As Prime Minister, Modi has always used governance as a tool for service. Seva Pakhwada is a tribute to his ideals,” he said.
Nalwa also invoked the values of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and Lal Bahadur Shastri, urging party workers to draw inspiration from their contributions.
District President Rinku Choudhary elaborated in detail about the Seva Pakhwada and the planned activities. “During these 15 days, the Minority Morcha will actively participate in blood donation camps, cleanliness drives, and plantation programmes in different areas. These initiatives reflect our commitment to serve society selflessly and spread awareness about health, environment, and social responsibility,” Rinku said.
He assured that the Border District unit would ensure successful execution of every programme, reaching every village and block so that people feel directly connected with the Prime Minister’s vision. “From cleanliness to blood donation and plantation drives, every activity will be conducted with full enthusiasm and public participation,” he said.
The leaders urged all party workers to actively participate and make the Seva Pakhwada a grand success, spreading the message of service, harmony, and dedication to the nation.
