JAMMU, Feb 18: Under party’s country wide programmes of “Jan Swabhimaan Abhiyan” BJP activists  staged dharnas and protests at district and Mandal levels in the State for strengthening the unity, integrity and security of India.
On first day of the series of three days programmes, massive protests and dharnas were held in Jammu East, Jammu West, R.S. Pura and Suchetgarh. BJYM also held a protest at Kachi Chawni Chowk under its State president Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra.
BJP MLAs Rajesh Gupta, Sham Choudhary and Dr. Gagan Bhagat, district presidents Baldev Singh Billawaria, Ayodhya Gupta and Brijeshwar Rana and BJYM State president Dr. Suresh Ajay Magotra, while addressing the party activists during protests and dharnas, said that political forces active in the Jawahar Lal Nehru University are extending full support to fissiparous forces under the guise of exercise of freedom of expression. Lawful governance is being obstructed again and again. They said that Congress, Communists and their allied parties have become so restless that today they are glorifying the anti national slogans and terrorists supported agitation in JNU.
It exposes their political bankruptcy that they are unnecessarily questioning the decision of the Supreme Court regarding attack on the Parliament. They appealed the people not to get misled by the Congress and other opposition parties and get united to give befitting reply to anti-national forces.
BJP State secretaries Sanjay Baru and Vikram Randhawa, party leaders Vinay Gupta, Sat Pal Pappy, Sunil Dogra, Virenderjit Singh, Ankush Gupta, Harbans Choudhary, Balwan Singh, Jeet Angral, Ajay Pargal, Ajay Vaid, Tarun Gupta, Keshav Chopra were prominent among other leaders who also addressed these protests and dharnas.
Meanwhile BJP State general secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, chaired meetings of Suchetgarh and R.S. Pura constituencies, where he briefed newly elected office bearers about “Jan Swabhimaan Abhiyan” programmes.
Ashok Koul, said that under “Jan Swabhimaan Abhiyan”, party activists will be praying to God that good sense prevails on Congress people, they will take pledge in front of statues of eminent personalities to maintain unity and integrity of the country, organize signature campaigns against anti national forces and to expose the real faces of the Congress and Leftists. He asked the party activists to make these programmes successful in their respective areas.
