JAMMU, Dec 21: A meeting of the All India Backward Classes Union was held at Mari (Reasi) under the chairmanship of its president Krishan Chalotra in which State president, Abdul Majid Malik, along with central committee members, was the chief guest.
In the meeting, the speakers and the participants condemned the attitude of the State BJP which is running away from its poll promises and did not implement the Mandal Report as per the Prime Minister’s vibrant slogan on the implementation of Mandal Report. This attitude is the same as that of NC-Congress which ruled the State for maximum period and looted the whole share of the State OBCs.
Malik stated that non-appointment of the Vice-Chairman of the State OBC Advisory and Development Board is the main indication that BJP is a betrayal as all the Boards have been re-activated except the OBC. Board participants held Dy Chief Minister responsible for the delay who appointed the Vice-Chairman of Kissan Board soon after the formation of the Government and at the same time showed his anti OBC attitude.
All the speakers and participants focused on the unity of OBCs to face a big challenge in future and appealed them to remain vigilant from the “so called OBC leaders” in different political parties who are in the habit of “subordination” and are making directions less movements for their sole self interests with hope against hopes.
